The Sower's Field • Unit 2 Reader

The Green Victory

"For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear." — Mark 4:28
Eli checked his cup every single morning.

Monday... nothing but dirt.
Tuesday... still just dirt.
Eli was about to give up!

But on Wednesday morning, he saw it. A tiny, green loop was poking out of the ground. It looked like a tiny, green finger saying "Hello!"

"Dad! Dad! I won! The plant is here!" Eli shouted.

His Dad came over. "God gave the growth, Eli. Your plant is a winner!"

The Sprout's Journey

Growing is hard work! First, the seed drinks water until it is so full it "pops." Then it sends a root down and a sprout UP.

The Big Truth God is the giver of life. Even when we can't see it, He is making things grow!

Chasing the Sun

Sprouts love the sun! They reach for the window like they are trying to catch a warm hug. If you turn your plant around, it will slowly turn back to find the light again. It knows where its strength comes from!

Gentle Hands!
A new sprout is very soft. If you touch it too hard, it might break. A Good Sower uses Gentle Hands to care for God's creation.
Activity: The Sun Hug

Turn your cup around so the plant faces AWAY from the window. Check it again tomorrow. Did it turn back to the sun? It's a miracle in motion!
