Unit 2: Mentorship

"Commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." — 2 Tim 2:2

"Lord, thank You for the knowledge You have given me. Help me to be a patient teacher and a kind leader. May I grow people as well as plants."

Lesson 2.1: The Mentor's Script

1. Designing the Lesson: Choose one garden task (e.g., watering, pruning, or weeding). Write a 3-step script to teach it to a younger student.
Step 1: The WHY (The Preamble)

"I am going to show you how to ________ because..."

Step 2: The DO (The Action)

"First we ________, then we ________."

Step 3: The ASK (The Check)

"Now you try! Why did we do it that way?"

2. Anticipating Struggle: What is the one mistake your apprentice is most likely to make? How will you correct them without discouraging them?

Creation-CRP: The Repair Bench

The Broken Leadership: Your apprentice is not listening and is starting to pull the "wrong" plants (weeds vs. crops).

The Fix: Stop the work. Sit down at their level. "Let's look at the patterns together. Look at the leaf shape." Why is **Presence** more important than **Production** in mentorship? __________________________________

Lesson 2.2: The Leadership Log

3. Assigned Responsibilities: Who is in your "Teaching Unit" today? List their name and their assigned task.
4. Reflection: What was the most joyful part of watching your apprentice succeed?
