Instructions for the Scribe: Continue this pattern until you reach 100. Practice identifying all geometric concepts from Edition 8. Accuracy is your Honor.
Appendix D: The Master Architect's Gallery
Use this page to demonstrate your mastery of the Reflected World.
Step 1: The Mirror Test. Draw a shape that has exactly One line of symmetry. Mark the fold.
Step 2: The Twin Test. Draw two Congruent Pentagons. Make one of them rotated upside down!
Step 3: The Turn Test. Draw a point labeled "V" (for Vertex). Draw a Right Angle, an Acute Angle, and an Obtuse Angle all starting from that same point.
Step 4: The 360 Victory. Draw a perfect circle using a compass or by tracing a cup. Mark the center point. How many degrees are in the whole turn?
Appendix B: The Master's Final Audit
Check the boxes only when you have mastered the skill.
- [ ] I can draw a Line of Symmetry through a shape.
- [ ] I know that Congruent means same shape AND size.
- [ ] I can identify Right, Acute, and Obtuse angles.
- [ ] I know that a full circle has 360 degrees.
- [ ] I can explain the difference between Perimeter and Area.
- [ ] I can identify the 3 parts of a solid: Face, Edge, Vertex.
- [ ] I understand that I am a reflection of the Architect.
Appendix C: The Litany of the Reflection
Recite this to close Edition 8.
Mentor: Scribe, what is the mirror of the world?
Student: Geometry. It reflects the order of the King.
Mentor: Why do we measure the turn?
Student: To stay on the right path and choose the just corner.
Mentor: What is the sign of a finished architect?
Student: Balance. Symmetry. Congruence with the truth.
Mentor: Go now, and build a life that is foursquare and faithful.
Student: Amen. To the glory of the Father. Hallelujah!
